Before the visit checklist
- Move furniture, rugs and boxes away from supply registers and return grilles.
- Clear a path to the furnace and, for a dryer vent job, to the dryer and the wall behind it.
- Keep pets in a room away from the work area, with water and a door you can close.
- Look for the outside dryer vent hood and clear snow or ice from around it if you can do so safely.
- Write down anything you have noticed: a smell, dust that returns quickly, a room that is hard to heat or a dryer that runs long.

What to tell us when you request a quote
A few details help us give a straight answer and plan the visit:
- The service you want: air ducts, dryer vent, small commercial or a camera inspection.
- Your community, and whether it is a house, duplex, condo, cabin or business.
- The age of the home and any recent remodel.
- For a dryer vent, how long the run is and where it exits, if you know.
- Anything that worries you, such as signs of pests or moisture.
Winter and cabin visits
In winter, keep the heat on as usual and let us know about any snow or ice around the outside hood. For a cabin or lake home that has been closed up, tell us when it will be open and who can give access, since a seasonal property may need the power and water on before anyone works there.
After the visit
Ask us what we found and what we cleaned, and keep any notes or images we share. Check that registers are open and unblocked, and put furniture back where it does not cover a vent. If we noted something outside cleaning, such as a loose joint or damaged duct, a licensed HVAC contractor is the right next call.
Common questions
Do I need to be home for the visit?
We talk through access and who needs to be present when we book, since it depends on the property. Tell us in your request if you will be away or if the property is a cabin.
Should I vacuum or dust before you come?
It is not necessary. Clearing floor space around the vents so we can reach them matters more than tidying.
What should I do about pets?
Keep them in a closed room, away from open doors and the work area. Pets that are nervous around strangers and equipment do better out of the way.
Can I ask questions during the visit?
Yes, please do. We would rather you understood what we are looking at and what we are cleaning.
